Der Neubau der Volksschule am Fuße des Wildoner Berges fügt sich in den bestehenden Naturraum ein.
Der einmalige Naturraum am Osthang des Wildoner Schlossberges mit zwei Teichanlagen und eindrucksvollem Baumbestand bestimmt das Gebäudekonzept. Ein fest in der Erde verankerter Baukörper bietet ein Gegengewicht zum Klassentrakt, der auf Stützen über dem Naturraum „schwebt“. Der Schwung des Klassentraktes folgt dem Geländeverlauf. Die Ankommensseite ist offen und bunt, während die zum Wald orientierten Klassenräume individuelle Befensterung in Naturholzverschalung aufweisen.

Innerhalb des Gebäudes liegt der Schwerpunkt auf einfacher Orientierbarkeit, außerhalb auf einer komplexen Einbindung des Naturraums. Eine bestehende Natursteinmauer ist renoviert und führt die Landschaft bis ins Foyer. Generell wurde großer Wert auf die kindergerechte Maßstäblichkeit gelegt. Alle Sichtverbindungen sind mit der Augenhöhe des Kindes abgestimmt. Dies äußert sich bei der Verglasung am Gang bis zum Boden und bei den bodenebenen Fenstern im Klassenbereich.{:}{:en}
The new elementary school at the foot of the Wildoner Berg fits into the existing natural space.
The unique natural environment on the eastern slope of the Wildoner Schlossberg with two pond systems and impressive trees determines the building concept. A building firmly anchored in the ground offers a counterbalance to the classroom tract that “floats” on supports above the natural space. The momentum of the class tract follows the course of the terrain. The arrival side is open and colorful, while the forest-oriented classrooms have individual fencing in natural wood cladding.

Within the building, the focus is on easy orientation, outside on a complex integration of the natural space. An existing natural stone wall is renovated and leads the landscape to the foyer. In general, great importance was attached to the child-friendly scale. All visual connections are matched with the eye level of the child. This manifests itself in the glazing on the corridor to the floor and in the floor level windows in the class area.{:}
