Der Bestand war geprägt von unterschiedenen Bauetappen. Ziel der Erweiterung war es, die einzelnen Bauelemente zu einem neuen Ensemble zu verbinden mit dem Schwerpunkt auf gute Orientierbarkeit und Funktionalität.

Die bestehende Volksschule mit 14 Klassen musste um 4 Klassen samt Zusatzeinrichtungen für den Ganztagesbetrieb sowie einer Schulbibliothek und einer 2. Turnhalle erweitert werden. Die Gemeinde nützte die Gelegenheit, den Turnsaal zu einer 3-fach Sport- und Veranstaltungshalle mit Bühne auszubauen und in der Schule die Gemeindebibliothek zu integrieren. [break] Der neue ostseitige Eingang ist von der Ankommenseite klar ersichtlich. Vom neuen Vorplatz aus werden sowohl  Schule, als auch die neue Sport- und Veranstaltungshalle erschlossen. Die öffentliche Bibliothek ist markant am Eingang situiert. Die verlängerten Klassentrakte „schweben“ linear darüber. Dem Klassentrakt gegenüber bildet die neue Turn- und Veranstaltungshalle mit dem bestehenden Turnsaal eine Sportachse, die unabhängig vom Schulbetrieb genutzt werden kann. Schulzubau und Veranstaltungshalle sind Referenzen für den konstruktiven Holzbau.{:}{:en}

The inventory was characterized by different stages of construction. The aim of the expansion was to combine the individual components into a new ensemble focusing on good orientation and functionality.

The existing elementary school with 14 classes had to be extended by 4 classes including additional facilities for all-day use as well as a school library and a second gymnasium. The community took the opportunity to develop the gymnasium into a 3-fold sports and event hall with a stage and to integrate the community library in the school. [break] The new east entrance is clearly visible from the arrival side. The new forecourt will open up both the school and the new sports and event hall. The public library is located at the entrance. The extended class tracts “hover” linearly above it. Opposite the classroom, the new gymnasium and event hall with the existing gymnasium form a sports axis, which can be used independently of school operations.
